Welcome to AAFES eBusiness...

Remaining competitive in today's marketplace mandates that corporations must continue to minimize cost and speed up communication. Through the development of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), the retail industry has set standards to produce shortened lead times giving merchants better in-stock conditions and increased sales.

To remain competitive in the retail market, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) is totally committed to the EDI program.  Please browse our website and contact any of the EDI Staff for more information.

    New WMS at WCDC

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service West Coast Distribution Center implemented a new warehouse management system on May 1st. Since that time, Exchanges (primarily in the Pacific and the Western continental United States) have experienced a disruption in service that has resulted in facilities being temporarily out of stock on select items. It is expected that facilities in Operation Enduring Freedom may feel some effect; however, because of the additional lead-time, there have been no reports to date.

We are doing everything possible to minimize the impact. In fact, the Exchange has mobilized an Implementation Team and supplemental HQs staff to assist Distribution Center management with resolving this temporary disruption. While the teams are still working through some operational issues concerning receiving and shipping, the Exchange has noted gradual improvements in both areas.

In the meantime, the Exchange’s Waco and Dan Daniel Distribution Centers have been utilized to fill some emergency orders to augment shipments out of the West Coast Distribution Center during the past four weeks and will continue as needed.

Several software program fixes are expected to further improve concerns by the end of this week. The West Coast Distribution Center is expected to return to normal operations by the end of the month.

    Relief Efforts in Japan

We at the Exchange are saddened by the catastrophic events affecting the citizens and residents of Japan. Our hearts go out to those who have suffered as a result and we stand ready to support in any way we can.

We have been receiving questions from our concerned partners in the supplier community about both the status of our military communities and what they can do to help. Be assured that we are engaged with our partners and associates in the region. We will try to provide information as it is made available to us.  For those wishing to help we suggest you contact one of the international relief organizations currently working to provide help and support for those who need it.

As always, we want to express our gratitude for having partners like you helping us support the greatest customers in the world!
