Overview

The primary difference between regular Whey Protein and its Isolate form is the amount of protein, lactose and fat present. Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) has a protein content of around 80%, but the protein content of Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) is more like 90%. This is because whey protein isolate undergoes a process called Cross-Flow Micro-filtration. This separates the protein from fat, cholesterol and lactose . . . meaning a purer protein as the end product. Performance Inspired Isolate Whey also has 3g of added of L-Glutamine (not counted in the 25g protein amount) to help preserve muscle tissue. L-Glutamine is expensive, but you'll love the added benefit it provides in Performance Inspired products! Whey Protein Isolate will have less fat, cholesterol, lactose, carbohydrates and calories than most other proteins on the market. It is a common choice for those looking to maintain low levels of body fat, but who still require protein to help their muscles repair and recover. Although Whey Protein Concentrate is already considered low in lactose, Whey Protein Isolate is even lower because of the additional filtering process.
