Welcome to the great southwest! The Fort Huachuca Exchange, located within the confines of Sierra Vista, Arizona extends a heartfelt welcome to one and all.

Fort Huachuca has a seasoned and proud history with the United States Armed Forces, being a product of the Indian Wars of the 1870's and 1880's. In early 1877 an order was handed down by the War Department, that a camp be established in or near the Huachuca Mountains. It was deemed necessary for the protection of the settlers and the travel routes that were opening up. At the same time there was a need to block the traditional Apache escape routes through the valleys of these mountains to safety and sanctuary in Mexico. As you can imagine, there is a wealth of history at this 145 year old, 73,272 acre Army post. Which I might add, boasts the distinction of being the "Home of the Original Buffalo Soldiers". Fort Huachuca is the major installation in Arizona, and one of the most prominent in the southwest.

The Exchange facilities at Fort Huachuca are proud to serve the heroes of the U. S. Army Intelligence Center and the Army Signal Command, along with several other units assigned here. All our efforts are directed to the needs of these fine soldiers and their families.

The Fort Huachuca Main Exchange complex is centrally located between Arizona and Hatfield Streets, near the Commissary. The Main Exchange strives to be the preferred retail and service provider for the Military family through extraordinary customer experience and value pricing.

In the Exchange mall area, there is an Exchange Restaurant area which includes Starbucks, Subway and Papa John’s. Also in the mall area, you will find other fine shops that provide a variety of services, to include a barber shop, beauty salon, optical shop, GNC Health Center, US Patriots Tactical and Friction Games. In addition, you will find a variety of roving vendors offering a wide selection of merchandise for sale.

The Mini-Mall is located on Hatfield Street at Bissel, near the Van Deman Gate and Prosser Village. The Mini Mall houses the Express with gas, Charley's Grilled Subs, Popeyes Chicken and Julie and Sammy’s Ice Cream Parlor. There is also a barber shop, Cox Cable and Baker's Flor Wrap It Up Sandwich shop.

The Military Clothing store is located at the Prosser Village in Bldg 80501. The facility offers a large selection of required items for the military personnel, as well as optional clothing and gift items. A branch of the Laundry/Dry Cleaning shop is located in the same complex.

The Buffalo Soldier Trail Gate Express is our latest facility, located just inside the Buffalo Soldier Trail gate offering a variety of convenience items as well as gas & diesel.

The Fort Huachuca Exchange serves "the world's best customers". Not only do we provide value for our customers, over 60% of our operating profit directly supports the MWR activities on Post. Our contribution for fiscal year 2021 was $451,547.
