The denomination Fifty Centavos and the word Filipinas encircle the girl. The reverse design features an eagle perched atop a shield with a banner displaying the words Commonwealth of the Philippines.

The words, United States of America, and the year of issue surround the eagle.

The silver coin shares space with a 1945, 3-cent Iwo Jima stamp and a 1971, 6-cent Douglas MacArthur stamp. The genuine coin and mint United States Postage Stamps are housed in a protective gold book style portfolio. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
