On a normal battery-powered device, there is typically some residual drain as long as the battery is connected in the circuit, even when the device is off. But by simply rotating the bottom of this fan, you can completely disengage your batteries, so they can be stored in your fan for years (up to their inherent shelf life). You'll also reduce the toxic corrosion that can damage your device. So no matter how many days you sit out in the heat, this fan will be ready to make your day a little cooler.
