Jeweler-style, museum-quality enameled eggs like those in this set from Design Toscano were first made famous by the House of Romanov's imperial jeweler in the 19th century. Bluebirds take center stage in a garden of springtime flowers on one egg, while the Ruling the Nest-themed egg shows a colorfully feathered pair of babies chirping for their mother bird's attention. Both Basil Street collectible eggs are cast in metal alloy using the ancient lost wax method before the brilliant enamel, faux jewels and tiny embellishments are added to truly make them shine.
